How to play Call of Duty: World at War Co-op LAN with Hamachi

This post is for the people that wants to play Call of Duty: World at War Coop mode over the Internet with their friends (using Hamachi).
Requirements:
- Call of Duty: World at War
- Hamachi
Hamachi 1.0.1.5 is the working version.
Hamachi 1.0.3 did not work properly for me. Please let me know if it works for you.
- Windows Firewall has been disabled
For All the players, you have to do the following:
- Reconfigure your XP’s Network connections to make it detect Hamachi first. Go to All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network Connections. Go to the menu > Advanced > Advanced Settings. Put Hamachi on top of the list.
Before you continue: One person has to create a Hamachi Server and get everyone to join the sever.
For the Host (1 Player)
- Go into Call of Duty and create a server.
- Wait for your friend to join.
For the Other Players(1-3 Players)
- Before you launch Call of Duty, you have to download a fix that will allow you to play LAN game with Hamachi. Download the Call of Duty: World at War LANFIX from:
- Launch the game by running the LANFIX.
- Go to the lobby to see the host’s game

Q: When my friend tries to join my game via LAN, he encounters the error “This game session is no longer available“.
A: If you are using the newer version of Hamachi, you may want to consider downgrading to version 1.0.1.5. When I encountered this issue with one of my friends, I downgraded from Hamachi 1.0.3 to 1.0.1.5 and the problem was resolved.

My OS is Windows Vista. I tried what you recommended but I can’t find my friends’ games in the lobby and my friends can’t find mine… 😦 help?
I have the same problem and also am running Vista.. A friend who has Vista can’t find my games, nor can I find his. Another friend who has XP can find my games and we can play fine. Weird……..
Make sure that the FIRST FOUR numbers of Hamachi which mostly starts with 5.*.***.*
are the same on both computers..
So when in your hamachi screen it say’s 5.132.32.424
Your friends has to say 5.132.**.***
To change your number you can either reinstall hamachi or
exit and shutdown hamachi and then delete the folder at
c:\documentsandsettings\(you)user\applicationdata\hamachi
Then restart hamachi and it should automatically give you a new number..
The folder you deleted are just configuration settings so no need for new install.
If you cannot find the map in the folder application data search the other users or press in hamachi on configure hamachi then prefrences and then open configuration folder… But make sure to exit hamachi before you delete the files in the folder..

Ps: This worked for me with the game Left 4 Dead so maybe it works here

aw wait, this may be easier..
For Vista: Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center, then, on the left side panel, click on ‘Manage Network Connections’. Now press Alt, click on Advanced > Advanced Settings and put Hamachi at the top of the list.
Im not able to install hamachi version 1.0.1.5 ..it always sais that theres a newerversion found while installing hamachi..
hi we have a problem whit hamachi lan playing… we see each other in the game lobby and we can connect to eachother but after 1 minute cod say “there is not enough players to continou the game” by the hoster and by player “connection interrupted”… any idea?
superb tutorial…worked fine for me…but the only prob is that i can get only one server at a time to play…n also each one or two hours…most of the time they are full….ive got a connection of 2mb…is this too slow…or there is another prob???…hlep plzzz
This error “This game session is no longer available” has nothing to do with the Hamachi version. When you Host a game go to Game Setup and then press OK, then your game will be seen by others.
Also make sure that every player puts it’s Hamachi IP in TCP/IC settings in Hamachi connection:
example:
IP: 5.186.11.18
Sbnet: 255.0.0.0
DEfault gateway: 5.0.0.1
Advanced: Metric put 10
Restart PC.
Hey. I’m getting the error “server connection timed out” when I’m in the lobby and the host presses “start game”. Does anyone know how to fix this?

my problem is that when i host one of the coputer in LAN can’t see me but others can , and when that computer hosts i can’t see that computer, but we can see each other in few maps like carentan and docks
both happends in xp and vista using hamachi 1.0.1.5

Are you using the right version of Hamachi? It is very important that you use 1.0.1.5.

den i had hamachi 2,unistalled it to hamachi 1.5
n pasted the lan fix in the game directory
now solo runs fine,multiplayer runs fine,but the lan fix shows a error

We have himachi 1.0.0.5 plus the .exe and it’s still saying the game is no longer available. help?

Is this suposed to work with a VPN too? it´s easy to do a VPN on windows 7 then use hamachi. I did , i played with a friend but in the midle of the game the connection ended. I´m using cod 5 1.7, is this a problem?
If you guys have so much problems with Hamachi, try out ‘Garena’ it worked out for me, well for other games, i have CoDWaW original. Asked my friend, it worked, all u have to do is download 1.7 lanfix, patch CoD to patch 1.7, delete CoDWaW.exe, copy the lanfix and rename it to CoDWaW.exe. And create lanfix desktop shortcut, or just launch it from codwaw main folder.
